Sea Life Sydney is gearing up to launch its all-new Shark Dive Xtreme (SDX) experience – the only cage-less underwater shark dive in Sydney.
Launching on April 28, SDX will be an exhilarating experience and one of only a few experiences worldwide where you’ll be guaranteed an underwater encounter with sharks. With no previous diving experience required, SDX will allow you to meet Grey Nurse Sharks, sea turtles, massive stingrays, Port Jackson Sharks, Wobbegong Sharks and hundreds of other Australian sea creatures.
Sea Life general manager Richard Dilly says, “We are so excited to launch Shark Dive Xtreme at Sea Life Sydney Aquarium this April.
“This experience is like no other, and it’s not for the faint – hearted. Our colony of Grey Nurse Sharks range in size from one to three metres, and when you shark dive with us, you get to enter their domain without cages.
The 2.5 hour experience includes entry, full diver training, a 30 minute oceanarium tank dive, equipment, debrief and certificate. Underwater photos and video footage are also available at an additional cost.
SDX was originally launched at Manly Sea Life Sanctuary in 2012, and following its closure in February 2018, will now reside at the Darling Harbour attraction.
